Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

This program financially assists income-eligible individuals and families. TANF grant amounts will differ depending on resources available to participants. This is not an entitlement program and the lifetime limit is 60 months (5 years) for all participants. Months need not be consecutive.

Services offered:

TANF grants depending on income limit
TANF Crisis/Supportive Services, pending funding availability and determined case-by-case

Criteria:

Red Cliff tribal member residing within Bayfield County
Enrolled member of a Federally recognized Tribe residing within the boundaries of the Red Cliff Reservation
Must be 18 years old
Must have primary physical custody of child (custodial parent)
First time pregnancy in their third trimester
In full cooperation with child support agency
