The Red Cliff Reservation is governed by an elected nine member Tribal Council. The role and responsibilities of the Tribal Council have expanded considerably since the passing of the Self-Determination and Educational Assistance Act of 1975. The Tribe administers approximately 120 programs, grants, and contracts and employed over 300 people in 2012.
